The International Dark Sky Week 2022 in Japan

The IDA’s INTERNATIONAL DARK SKY WEEK is held every April on a global scale to raise awareness about light pollution, its negative effects and solutions, and to celebrate the starry skies. In Japan, this year’s INTERNATIONAL DARK SKY WEEK event will be held at THE INTERNATIONAL DARK SKY PLASES, Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park, Kozushima Island, Bisei Town in Ibara City, collaborated to organize a joint poster panel exhibition introducing each IDSP from April 22 to May 8. Through this exhibition, we aim to further promote The International Dark Sky Places Program in Japan, raise awareness of light pollution, and increase the recognition of IDSPs.
