Ouray County, Colorado

Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) in Ouray County, Colorado are expected to Proclaim on April 26, 2022 that May 2022 will be designated a Dark Sky Month in the county. The Proclamation will include “The BOCC encourages the preservation of the Dark Sky throughout Ouray County through responsible International Dark Sky Association recommended lighting that is shielded, color temperatures that are warmer (less than 3000degrees kelvin), adaptively controlled (such as motion activated) where practical, and brightness (lumens) levels that are reasonable to the task needed.”
